
About Luke
Luke Burton is a registered clinical counsellor (RCC#18551) and Accredited Music Therapist (MTA#801). Luke completed a Master's Degree in Music-Centred Psychotherapy (MMT) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2014. Previously he completed a Bachelor's of Fine Arts (Music) from York University in 2011. He is also a Certified Soul-Centred Facilitator (2021), a Certified Yoga Teacher from Yasodhara Ashram (2006), and has done training in Terrence Real's Relational Life Therapy approach to couples therapy, Marc Peridis' Tantric Mysteries, Marc Gafni's Cosmo-Erotic Humanism, the Body Electric School, and several years of study in Gestalt, Jungian, Rogerian and Somatic therapies, as well as Stan Grof's Holotropic Breathwork approach at the now defunct Transpersonal Therapy Centre in Toronto, ON. Luke has also spent over 20 years in private tutelage and self-study in the fields of Kundalini Yoga and Earth-Based Energy Medicine.

Aside from 1:1 sessions and groups, Luke has worked with Lumara Society bereavement support, First Nations Health Authority, Resonance Centre for Social Innovation, Whistler Community Services, Thundering Hearts, Whistler's Mature Action Committee, and numerous schools and nursing homes.

His primary recurring passions are exploring inside, exploring outside, community, solitude, paradox, relationship, spirit, and music.
